The New Mexico Gallery is now online. (That double rainbow I promised is there too.) This was an exciting trip to several iconic locations in north-central New Mexico. I was blessed with beautiful weather and days of spectacular clouds and light while photographing Battleship Rock, Cerro Pedernal, Chama River, Chimney Rock, Plaza Blanca, Orphan Mesa, Mesa Montosa, and the brilliantly colorful Painted Desert made famous by the paintings of Georgia O’Keeffe.
In this season of innocence and gratitude, I am grateful to have been able to photograph these timeless natural sculptures, and glad to be able to share these images with you.
My best wishes to you and yours!
PS: Digital Photography Masterclass
I consider this post and the New Mexico Gallery a completed assignment from Tom Ang’s book, Digital Photography Masterclass, chapter on Advancing Your Photography, Landscape and Nature Photography: “Visit a beauty spot and imagine you have been commissioned by the local tourist authority or a travel magazine to create a definitive image of the subject — one that could be used on a website showing local attractions or in a brochure designed to tempt visitors to the area.”
